Foreword

Opening QuoteAt present Year 8 have an extremely enthusiastic and hard working student council, who work very closely with their tutor groups and teachers. They have initiated and implemented many fundraising schemes, members run a weekly 'whole school' recycling project and meeting on a regular basis to debate current school affairs. The year group helped to raise £156.03 towards the 'Tsunami Appeal', by having a non-uniform PE week and most recently over £200 for comic relief, thanks to a 'Tasteless Tie' day.

The year group have also enjoyed a recent curriculum history visit to Beamish, which was thoroughly enjoyed by all.

Year 8 endeavours to contribute and compliment Boldon School's positive ethos.Closing quote
