On Thursday the pupils were out of school all day.
The weather was far from kind but the pupils still had a successful day.
The day started witha visit to Durham Cathedral. The pupils were asked to share their knowledge about Durham and the Prince Bishops.
The pupils answered questions about the site of the castle and the Cathedral and drew conclusions on what these findings tell us about the power
of the church compared to the Barons.
The pupils were asked questions about the Sanctuary knocker.

The pupils then went on to visit Mount Grace Priory.
Here the pupils investigated the Priory inside the Priory house and the reconstructed cell.

The pupils then went on to York. Part of the visit had to be curtailed dut to heavy rain but the pupils were able to visit the York Dungeon.
