The pupils were out of school today.

The day started with a visit to South Shields Museum.
The pupils looked carefully at the exhibits and used the interactive displays to enrich their knowledge of life at sea.

After lunch on th Metro, the pupils visited Newcastle Quayside.
The pupils started their visit with a session with Miss Kirk. They used the information they had learned about the North East and
Newcastle to answer questions on the Quayside. They also developed their skills in field sketches. The skills been used and developed were
evaluation, synthesis and application.

The pupils finished their visit with a walk along the Quayside over the Millenium Bridge to view the Tall ships.
The pupils answered questions on the Tall ships and evaluated the impact of the Tall Ships on the Quayside area.
